It is much quicker, more reliable and much easier to request medication using the Patient Access app or the NHS app. When using the app, the request goes directly to a doctor from the moment you click to button to request it, so will always get signed off much more quickly. The NHS doctors at the GP practice will strive to sign prescriptions within 48 hours.
